Kudos Independent Financial Services (Kudos) is reminding employers of the need to review pension schemes to ensure that they do not contravene the Age Regulations (Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006). Employers have until 1 December 2006 to ensure that their pension scheme does not discriminate on the basis of age.

Alan Fergusson, director of employee benefits at Kudos points out that employers should also have made any necessary changes by 1 December 2006.

ìThe Age Regulations came into force on 1 October 2006. However the section which applies to pension schemes states that they must be reviewed to ensure that they do not discriminate on the basis of age and that any changes which are needed to ensure compliance with the legislation must also be made by 1 December 2006. There is just over a week until the deadline so employers need to act quickly to make sure that their pension schemes are not discriminatory.î

In order to help employers to meet this deadline Kudos are offering employers a no obligation review of their pension schemes. Alan continues, ìThe review that we are offering employers will ensure that their pension schemes do not contravene the Age Regulations (Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006).î
