Kenexa (Nasdaq: KNXA), a global provider of business solutions for human resources, today announced the expansion of its relationship with the US Air Force to deliver university and community outreach services for the Air Force Personnel Center Scientist and Engineer Career Field located at Randolph Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas. Building on the successful recruiting programme that Kenexa created for five Air Force bases across the country, Kenexa will establish a robust recruiting system to attract and fill critically needed Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) individuals by creating a hiring pipeline with new college graduates and experienced engineers and scientists for the Air Force.
Saul Ortigoza, scientist and engineer career program administrator, US Air Force, stated: The STEM Program is delighted to continue and broaden our working relationship with Kenexa. Along with assisting the STEM Program goals and objective, Kenexa is assisting in the hiring of Civilian Scientists and Engineers for the Air Force as a whole. We have more than 11,000 scientists and engineers in our career field and Kenexa's efforts allow us to compete more effectively with the private sector for these talented people.
Leveraging the existing USAJOBS Web site, Kenexa will establish new services and programs to attract a higher calibre of candidates for Randolph Air Force Base. Using its proven university and community outreach process, which includes creating printed collateral and email campaigns, working with professional societies, developing internship and minority outreach programmes, establishing a presence at career fairs, and instituting relationships with universities, Kenexa will build a pipeline of high-quality graduates and experienced professionals for the base.
Andrew Jackson, global head of Kenexa's government solutions practice, added: Kenexa is honoured to support recruiting for the US Air Force. Based on the spectacular results from these programmes, nearly 20,000 candidates are being tracked in the system and time-to-fill has been cut in half, since partnering with Kenexa. We are looking forward to helping Randolph Air Force Base locate high-calibre candidates and use their recruiting resources to the best possible effect.
