Sarah Brown, Sales Manager at justclick.co.uk comments; ìThe positive reaction to our new site from both graduates and recruiters has been phenomenal. We are seeing a shift in the graduate market, with the number of candidates registered on our site increasing by 30,000 in the last six months to over 100,000 candidates, who have all registered in the last year. We have attributed the increase largely to the success of targeted and tailored marketing through our new website and also because there are more candidates looking for work due to the recession. However, we have also seen a significant increase in the number of jobs being advertised on the justclick.co.uk site, which stands at around 2,000 vacancies at any time, so we may be seeing the first green shoots of recovery in the graduate recruitment market.

Graduates are definitely more flexible about location, salary and position and some candidates are accepting roles which may not be what they are looking for immediately, for instance something voluntary, but which could lead to a job in the future. We are also seeing signs that further study or training courses are becoming more popular for students who can suspend their entry into the jobs market until things improve.î

justclick.co.uk, the only UK graduate job board to offer recruiters a psychometric test search facility, have also confirmed that during the downturn recruiters have placed growing importance on completed psychometric tests from candidates. Not only do they provide recruiters with the opportunity to narrow their search to suit their job profile, they also provide an added insight in to a candidate who may not have had much work experience which is often the case with graduates.
