Myles Clark, CEO of JobServe Asia and Managing Director of www.JobServe.co.th commented today on the growth in IT jobs in Thailand.
“We have seen strong growth in job adverts since the start of 2010 and this could be the start of recovery for this sector in Thailand.
We watch the market very carefully and we believe we are now the number 1 job board for IT professionals in Thailand, just as the market is recovering”, Clark said.
Commenting on the recent growth in jobs posted to www.JobServe.co.th Clark said ,”We are finding many customers coming to use JobServe where they need additional options in their posting strategy, for example where they are looking for a number of specialized skills, they will often post across 2 or 3 boards to get a broader range of candidates”.
JobServe’s move into Thailand was driven by a desire to establish a presence in a fast growing IT market where the software sector has been growing at over 20% pa since 2004, the low cost technical labour force and the strong Government support for the industry.
Located in the Government established Software Park in Bangkok, JobServe Thailand now employs over 50 staff and completes software projects for the Group’s worldwide operations.
“JobServe now has access to Thai developers to assist in maintaining and improving its global sites while we in Thailand have access to both JobServe’s advanced technology and global reach” Myles added.
Under Clark’s leadership, JobServe’s Thai operations of have grown in revenue and staff numbers and has doubled over the past 12 months.
“Apart from development and support work we provide to the worldwide JobServe group we are now moving into other Asian countries with new job boards and have recently launched boards in India and Russia, with more on the way,” Clark said.
