Jobpartners, a European leader in people and talent management solutions, has announced that its ActiveRecruiter e-recruitment solution is to be deployed by adidas Group across 100 locations worldwide by the end of 2010, following adidas’ decision to extend its existing relationship with Jobpartners. The implementation of ActiveRecruiter will help standardise recruitment processes across the company’s portfolio of brands – adidas, Taylor Made and Reebok – and provide it with the ability to support the 40+ languages spoken in the markets it operates in, thereby giving the company a more integrated global recruitment strategy.
adidas Group currently employs more then 40,000 employees worldwide. Previously, the company did not have a consistent structure in place to support internal or external recruitment and share talent globally. ActiveRecruiter has reduced the administrative burden on adidas’ HR teams, and through improved reporting the company is now able to turn its attention to building talent pools and promoting internal mobility. By being able to share global vacancies internally adidas has now been able to retain key talent who may have otherwise moved on elsewhere. adidas has also achieved significant cost savings almost immediately by completely eradicating paying headhunter fees in the regions where the solution has been deployed to date.
“In the past we relied heavily on headhunters to find and acquire talent, which led to a considerable amount of our recruitment budget being spent on headhunter fees,” said Steve Bonomo, Global Head of Group recruiting at adidas. “With this in mind, we made the decision to bring our recruitment back in-house with the aim of reducing our annual recruitment spend and improving our process as a whole. Jobpartners showed an unrivalled understanding of the needs of large, multinational organisations and provided a solution that met our complex recruitment needs.”
ActiveRecruiter is a highly-configurable and comprehensive platform that enables HR departments to manage the employment process through all stages of recruitment, from the definition of a position, to hiring a candidate, through to improving internal mobility. ActiveRecruiter is currently being used in 45 locations worldwide by adidas and the company is planning to roll out the latest version of ActiveRecruiter to all 100 locations by the end of 2010.
“We are delighted to be continuing to work with adidas. The company has shown itself to be an innovator when it comes to global recruitment and ActiveRecruiter plays a key role in its strategy. For large global organisations today, it is critical that they have an easy-to-manage and customisable e-recruitment platform so that they can attract the best talent and reduce their time to hire in what is an extremely competitive market” commented Patrice Barbedette, Founder and COO at Jobpartners.
