If youíre wondering why thereís a party atmosphere at 72 Granby Street on 10 June, itís quite simple - A La Carte Recruitment are celebrating the culmination of National Temporary workers week!

Run by trade body the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation), National Temporary Workers Week which runs from 6-10 June will involve recruitment agencies around the country taking part in festivities. 1.5 million temporary workers go out on assignment in a typical week and turnover in temporary recruitment in 2003/4 was worth 22.5 billion.

At A La Carte, the week will have a global theme with food and drink of international flavour being served to temps who register with them. Consultants will all be wearing promotional T-shirts, balloons will decorate the offices and on 10 June thereís an open house party until 4.00 p.m. for all the temps who work for A La Carte.

Director Robert Vitols comments: ëOur temporary workers are the lifeblood of the business, they are our ambassadors and play a vital role in the A La Carte team and that of our customers. To coincide with National Temporary Workers Week we are running a scratchcard promotion which means that all our temps have the opportunity to win a series of prizes.í

Fellow Director, Erik Vitols continues:íThis is the start of a very busy period for A La Carte as the summer begins with food manufacturers promoting their seasonal lines. The great outdoor eating experience starts again as consumers take full advantage of the warmer weather - barbecues and picnics increase the demand for sandwiches, pies and sausages, which the British public just love. Demand for temporary staff at this time of year also increases due to the holiday season and A La Carte has to be ready to meet this extra demand for temporary workers who are a much needed resource.í

A La Carte Recruitment specialises in providing temporary workers to the food production and hospitality industries and at peak periods supply up to 1,000 temporary workers per week to local businesses. A La Carte Recruitment also represented the Midlands as a finalist in the best regional recruitment agency category of the national Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2005 run by Recruiter Magazine - the only awards of their type for the 14,000 recruitment agencies in the UK.
