ìI was bought in to turn around the original division (Social Workline) and add 2 new divisions per year. Last year we successfully added Education Workline and Housing Workline and are on course for another 2 divisions by the end of 2009. By the time the expansion programme has finished we will have trebled our head count at the very least.
The surprise is that we expected more issues around attracting candidates and clients to our new brands. However this has proved relatively straightforward.
Recruiting consultants has also been fine. The biggest problem by far has been finding Divisional Managers with the right experience and motivation levels.
So, I ask myself, where have all the successful, hungry managers disappeared to, and when you find out can you please ask them to ring me?
