Integrated Topaz EMS technology for agency staff

Topaz has won the tender to supply regional development agency One North East with an integrated HR, payroll and online system linked to an automatic interface for PenServer, the Civil Servants Pensions Database.

One North East wanted to combine HR and payroll activities with single entry streamlined functionality and was impressed with Topaz EMS (Employee Management System) during the tender process.

Positive feedback from development agencies East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and Advantage West Midlands, which have also turned to Topaz to deliver the PenServer interface capability, helped to clinch the contract.

Topaz EMS will provide enhanced resource planning and electronic scheduling prompts to act as vital reminders for when probationary periods expire, employees require training or are due to retire. It also eliminates the time consuming activity of printing and distributing 450 wage slips every month.

By including the Topaz Web Portal technology, One North Eastís managers can gain immediate access to such details as attendance and holiday information at the touch of a button.

Employees now have the capability to access electronic wage slips at any time to check details, print off current or past copies, or find out how their pay is calculated. They will also be given the responsibility of updating basic information on their payroll and HR records - such as changes to name and addresses.
