The recently launched Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp, formerly the Human Resource Institute) has named Ron Hanscome as HCM Technology Research Director and VP Marketing. With more than 23 years of experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) technologies, including roles as a practitioner, consultant, software executive and industry analyst, Hanscome will strengthen i4cp’s HCM capabilities and play a key role in the organization’s vendor sponsorship program.

ìAs organizations of all sizes seek to improve the productivity of their people, leading firms have come to recognize the critical connections among process redesign, enabling technologies, and change management. Improvement in just one or two of these areas is not enough ñ successful change initiatives require advancements in all three. We’re excited to have someone of Ron’s caliber on our team to enhance our capabilities in this area and to help us realize our goal of being the premier institute for improving workforce productivity and bottom-line results within corporations,î said Jay Jamrog, SVP of Research, i4cp.

Prior to his role at i4cp, Ron led Oracleís HCM Applications Marketing team for two years, serving as a thought leader and evangelist for all three HCM product lines. Immediately prior to his work at Oracle, Ron was a Senior Program Director with META Group, an IT research and advisory firm focused primarily on Global 2000 companies and vendors. In his two years at META he authored over 40 pieces of HR-related research, including The State of Workforce Management 2004, a comprehensive global survey covering usage, satisfaction and implementation plans for 15 strategic HCM application areas. In addition, he has extensive public speaking experience and is an active member of IHRIM (the International Association for Human Resource Information Management) and SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and has served as Chair of the IHRIM.Link Editorial Committee.

As VP of Marketing, Hanscome will focus on building awareness of i4cp among prospective members as well as HCM providers, in addition to implementing a vendor sponsorship program. ìWe recognize the vendors are a key part of the HCM ecosystem and make a major contribution to the domain. Vendor participation in the i4cp community will produce significant benefits for our members,î said Kevin Oakes, CEO, i4cp.

A native Minnesotan, Hanscome matriculated at the University of Minnesota, where he received a B.A. in History magna cum laude in 1985. When not on the road, he works out of his home office in Plymouth, a northwest suburb of Minneapolis. He can be reached at rhanscome@i4cp.com.
