Hyde Housing Association, the £230 million turnover affordable housing provider, has invested in Access’ SelectHR. The new solution brings reliable reporting and web-based self-service for 1,700 employees to Hyde, and drives down cost inefficiencies in relation to administration time and the re-keying of information.
Sarah Smithen, HR business solutions manager at the Hyde Group, said, “Our existing system was 10-years old and no longer met the ever changing needs of our organisation. We required a web-based system that could support the business moving forward and allowed seamless integration with other solutions including job evaluation and competency, learning & development, and recruitment.”
Hyde Housing went to tender for the new solution and Access won after showing the ease with which SelectHR could be integrated with third-party solutions, and the ability to deliver on the tender documents criteria. Hyde is undergoing a wide transformational change programme and its HR solution had to have the capability of facilitating the company throughout these changes.
“Our system strategy is to move away from a ‘one size fits all’ approach to implementing a modular system selecting ‘best in market’ for each department. We chose Access as it’s a web-based system, which allows business process mapping, and is a user friendly intuitive system,” continued Sarah. “All 1,700 of our staff are going to be using self-service to update their personal details, access payslips, request training and book holiday – this will greatly reduce the burden on the HR department, and again matches our system strategy.”
Dee Caporali, sales director at Access Select, the specialist HR arm of Access said, “I’m delighted to welcome Hyde Housing as a new customer, this further strengthens our position in the housing sector. Our expertise in this market and our ability to demonstrate that SelectHR can be integrated with third-party providers shows that we offer a great solution.”
Implementation started this month and is due to finish in January 2011. Hyde Housing is looking forward to a reduction in administration time, utilisation of workflow technology and process improvement.
Hyde Housing Association is a leading provider of affordable housing in London, the South East of England and the Midlands, providing individual and community support services.
