Huntress recruitment specialists raise over 400 for Cancer Research UK

It was a brisk Saturday morning last week that the fresh-faced Crawley team ventured out early in support of their nominated charity, Cancer Research UK. Two of Huntressís young, ambitious consultants: Charlotte Dunkerton and Maxine Smith, who are usually more accustomed to ìlooking upî and taking targets to new heights now found themselves looking a very long way down and braving the heights of Crawleyís seven storey Ramada Plaza building, at approximately 300ft!

Around 30 others participated in the event, which was aimed at raising awareness and money for Cancer Research UK, the worldís largest organisation dedicated to researching and curing cancer by understanding its causes and investigating how best to prevent and treat it.

The Huntress girls raised over 200 each for the charity and Charlotte explains: ìThe abseil point from the roof top seemed a lot higher than it probably was, and although we were looking forward to it Maxine and I were both quite scared to say the least! As weíre both adrenaline junkies however, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely take part next year, as it is for such a good cause. I have even agreed to do a charity parachute jump in the future!î

A preferential partner of Cancer Research UK, Huntress has supplied temporary and permanent personnel to the charity for over 3 years. The HR Director, Rob Farace remarked:
ìHuntress was recommended to me and I decided to give them a chance to allow me to compare their service to other agencies. I have been highly impressed by their efficiency and responsiveness when supplying staff. Staff hired via Huntress also speak highly of the organisation, which I believe contributes to their success. Huntress have raised money for us on various occasions and the recent series of employment law seminars have been a huge success on all counts.î

Jane Atherton, Commercial Director of Huntress, remarks:
ìHuntress are working with Cancer Research on a number of fundraising initiatives through our branches. Offering our support to the charity as a company means we are directly aiding their cause and raising awareness through local companies. We are particularly pleased with the involvement and support from our clientsî
