Human Capital Institute Announces Upcoming Conferences:
Strategic Talent Acquisition in San Francisco and Workforce Planning in Boston

Events to Draw Nationwide Audience of Talent Management Professionals

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and think tank that is advancing the science of strategic talent management, today announced the first in a series of special-topic talent management conferences to convene during 2009. The Strategic Talent Acquisition Conference will take place June 9 and 10 in San Francisco, and the Workforce Planning Conference will take place June 16 and 17 in Boston.

Each conference will feature expert presenters, case studies and next practices from leading national organizations such as Aetna, Starbucks, Major League Baseball, Wal-Mart and more. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to attend these featured presentations, as well as participate in pre-conference workshops and executive councils, network with fellow professionals, and earn HRCI and HCS/MHCS credits.

Attendees at the Strategic Talent Acquisition Conference will discover how to move from the transactional-tactical day-to-day activities of talent management to becoming strategic planners and decision-makers. Topics to be covered during the conference include discussions of talent acquisition as a business transformational catalyst. Presentations will focus on learning strategies for large and small organizations, swapping ideas across industries, discussing ways to better engage finance on ideas and initiatives, and getting informed on the latest trends in optimizing social networking for talent acquisition. The event is sponsored by LinkedIn, Taleo, MBO Partners, Allegis Group Services, Guidant Group, TAPFIN and Fieldglass.

The Workforce Planning Conference will bring together the best and brightest in this field to share strategies, detail implementations that work, and discuss successfully combining technology with disciplined business processes and practices to create high-impact results. Attendees will examine the evolution of workforce planning along with generating innovative ideas and results-based initiatives, optimizing business intelligence and analytics to drive performance, and getting informed about the latest trends on using enterprise social networks for planning. The event is co-sponsored by Aruspex, Taleo, Vemo, MBO Partners, Allegis Group Services, Guidant Group, TAPFIN and Fieldglass.
