Human Capital Institute and SuccessFactors Announce Multi-City Innovation Tour To Address Critical Issues in Performance Management

New Series Showcases Compelling Research; Includes Participation From Industry Experts Across Divergent Fields

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, today announced the latest addition to its signature Innovation Tours, an ongoing series of talent management learning and networking events held in major metropolitan areas throughout the United States and Canada. The new program, sponsored by SuccessFactors, the market leader in on-demand performance and talent management will feature the theme ìWasted Human Capital: Critical Issues in Performance Management.î The tour launches in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. in October. The keynote speaker at tour events will be Jason Corsello, Research Director of Yankee Groupís Business and IT Decision Service, who will examine the latest industry research on performance management and succession planning. Local programs will also provide insights and education from market leading companies Quintiles Transnational and Pacific Su! nwear of California.

The San Francisco event will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco on October 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. PT. The Washington, D.C. session takes place October 18 at the Key Marriott from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ET.

A recent survey of more than 1,000 leading organizations indicates most employers are grappling with basic performance and succession issues critical to achieving corporate objectives and supporting growth. Corsello will discuss the context and solutions for issues identified in the research, including employer challenges such as tracking employee and department progress against goals and aligning employee goals with corporate strategy.

Each event will also include a case study outlining initial planning, identified best practices, and new processes put into place to overcome critical performance management and succession planning issues. The focus of each case study will be on the transformation of the performance and talent management process to a concrete initiative that provides a competitive edge and positive business results. The case study at the San Francisco event will feature Barbara Arneklev from Pacific Sunwear, and Tim Toterhi from Quintiles Transnational will present the case study in Washington, DC. Each presenter has a unique story regarding their organizationís success in driving performance and creating a succession plan for the future.

Jason Corsello leads Yankee Groupís advisory and consulting services relating to workforce transformation and business process outsourcing strategies. He is a recognized thought leader, and has been quoted by leading industry trade publications, including Workforce Management, HR Executive, and HRO Today.

ìThis important program not only identifies critical issues in performance management. It offers realistic, proven solutions for addressing the problems many employers currently face,î said HCIís President and Executive Director Allan Schweyer.
