HR Solutions recently developed a new Gaming Employee Satisfaction Normative Database

.

HR Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-based management consulting firm, has recently developed a new Gaming Employee Satisfaction Normative Database by departments, which revealed some real departmental surprises and very interesting benchmarks.

With this data, we can now identify which departments within gaming organizations exhibit the lowest or highest Overall Job Satisfaction. To put this data into some perspective, the highest of these departments (Administrative) displays 30 percentage points more job satisfaction than the lowest-scoring department (Cage and Coin). These results are astonishing, since some of the most vital departments, dealing directly with customers, find their organization as a less satisfying place to work. The charts to the right depict the four highest and lowest scoring casino departments. The chart below depicts the five highest scoring healthcare departments.

Gaming Department/Percent Favorable Normative Score
Administrative: 86%
Surveillance: 74%
Human Resources: 73%
Marketing: 73%
Guest Services: 71%

In contrast, the following charts show the five lowest scoring departments:

Gaming Department/Percent Favorable Normative Score
Finance/Accounting: 65%
Food & Beverage: 65%
Security: 63%
Slots: 61%
Cage & Coin: 56%

This new normative data now provides gaming organizations with a better external benchmark to gauge their organizations employee satisfaction on departments within their organization.

The National Normative Gaming research included roughly 49,000 employees in 53 gaming organizations all surveyed within the last three years by HR Solutions, Inc., a Chicago-based management consulting firm that specializes in Employee Satisfaction Surveys. About HR Solutions, Inc.:
