HR big hitters from public and private sector to join CIPD team

The CIPD today unveils three HR big hitters who have agreed to give their time to supporting the Instituteís work to lead thought and build capability in the HR profession, taking on the role of President-elect and two Vice President roles. All three are non-executive roles.

Gill Rider, Head of the Civil Service Capability Group and Head of Profession for Civil Service HR, is the CIPDís nomination for its next President.

Alex Wilson, Group HR Director for BT, is the CIPDís nomination for its next Vice President, Employee Relations.

Stephen Dando, Chief Human Resources Officer for Thomson Reuters, is the CIPDís nomination for its next Vice President, International.

The new nominees join a strong and high calibre team of Vice Presidents already contributing their time in support of the CIPDís work (see Notes to Editors for the full list), and replace the retiring Vice Presidents Siobhan Cummins (International) and Tony McCarthy (Employee Relations).

She brings substantial experience gained in both the public and private sectors, and also has valuable experience of leading a global HR function.î
