How do you spot the best recruitment agency?

Spotting the best recruitment agencies in the market place can be hard but with the new REC Audited scheme the recruitment industry has found a way to demonstrate who are the best operators.

Four agencies have just received confirmation that they have passed their audit. Yours Sincerely, based in Prestatyn, North Wales, Contract Personnel, Norwich, 1st Choice Recruitment, Bedford, Cavill Robinson Financial Recruitment, Peterborough. They were audited on 125 criteria including the REC Code of Good Recruitment Practice. The audit examined a vast range of criteria including, policy and certification requirements, work seeker registration and terms of engagement for temporary employees.

REC audited was launched in November 2004 in a bid to recognize and reward high achievers in the industry. The Government has welcomed the audit as agencies are now clearly demonstrating regulation compliance. The audit has also been endorsed by the CIPD with Geoff Armstrong, Director General CIPD recently saying ìThe REC audited scheme is a welcome initiative to raise standards in the recruitment sector. Effective self regulation should offer employers a valuable quality mark when choosing suppliers of recruitment servicesî
