Ex-Army Captain Ed Henebury has joined Hitchenor Wakeford, the Leeds-based executive search and selection company.

Henebury, who lives in Harrogate, served in an Armoured Infantry Battalion for eight years. During this period he served all over the world, on operations in the Middle East, the Balkans and Northern Ireland and on exercise and training in South America, the United States, Africa and across Europe.

In his new role on ícivvy streetí, as a senior consultant at Hitchenor Wakeford, Henebury will be in charge of placing senior management in vacancies at some of the UKís biggest companies.

Henebury, 30, explains his decision to leave the forces and enter search and selection in Leeds:

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the British Army. It has equipped me with plenty of valuable experience to bring into the commercial sector. During the latter part of my service, I was responsible for placing troops and personnel into specific roles in a variety of locations, so there is certainly some similarity between both occupations. After eight years in the forces Iím looking forward to this new challenge.

Adrian Hitchenor, CEO of Hitchenor Wakeford Search and Selection, is proud of his diverse workforce:

Ed is a major asset to our business. His time served in the forces has provided him with invaluable people management, organisational and dynamic leadership skills. We are pleased to have him on board.
