HireDesk Releases HireCompliance

A Tool to Guide Legal Compliance in Recruitment and Hiring Practices

Industry leader responds to increasing requirements for legal compliance in automated recruitment and hiring solutions.

HireDeskô a division of Talent Technology Corporation (TTC) and an award-winning provider of recruitment and hiring software solutions, today announced the release of HireComplianceô, a new approach to help clients address the legal compliance challenges they face in implementing automated recruitment and hiring solutions. Created in association with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of North Americaís largest labor and employment law firms, HireComplianceô guides HireDesk clients through a structured review of their practices in ten recruitment and hiring process areas ñ areas that, if not structured properly, can lead to challenge in todayís evolving legal and regulatory environment.

Automation can help employers tremendously in improving the efficiency of their recruitment and hiring processes, said Dr. David Jones, Chairman of Talent Technology Corporation. Unfortunately, automated solutions also can increase the speed with which legal risk is created, and add problems completely different than those faced in manual approaches, Jones added. The HireComplianceô process was created to help employers gain increased efficiency, without increasing legal risk, Jones concluded.

Camille A. Olson, Seyfarth Shaw partner, head of the firmís Employment Law Committee and member of TTCís Advisory Board, discussed the importance of reviewing current recruitment and hiring practices. Conducting a comprehensive review, which provides guidance on best practices, and answers common questions employers face is a critical first step when going to automated processes. A comprehensive review helps employers as they work toward three goals - gaining automation efficiencies, improving quality of hire, and addressing legal risk, she added.

We know what employers know ñ recruiting and hiring can be legal lightning rods ñ whether automated or not, said Jade Bourelle, President and CEO of TTC. That is why we think HireDesk is unique in the marketplace in working along with Seyfarth Shaw to integrate HireComplianceô as a regular part of every customer implementation we do, said Bourelle. That is why we will now bundle the HireComplianceô toolkit into every implementation as a part of our standard product pricing, Bourelle concluded.
