A new jobsite entitled IT Jobs In The City, will become part of The Job Board Enterprises network which currently incorporates The IT Job Board www.theitjobboard.com, The SAP Job Board and The Unix Job Board. It will be one of the first online sites dedicated to the recruitment of IT professionals within the banking and financial services sector and will provide candidates with a one stop shop for finding all levels of IT roles within the sector. Organisations will be able to draw upon a repository of over 50,000 IT professionals with financial services expertise who have already registered.
The financial services industry will need to gain compliance with a variety of regulations due to come into force next year, not least is The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) due to hit our shores in November 2007. The IT Job Board has noticed a recent increase in the demand for MiFID hiring over the last few months and has developed this site to help bring together qualified professionals with employers.
There is an IT element for virtually all the requirements of MiFID, which is intended to harmonise regulations across the European Economic Area for handling financial instruments, such as securities and derivatives.
