The Head of the Civil Service, Sir Bob Kerslake, is to host a live Question and Answer session on Facebook with graduates interested in the Civil Service Fast Stream programme.
The session will be a valuable opportunity for anyone who is considering applying for the Fast Stream programme later this year. Any prospective applicants wondering why they should apply, or wanting to learn more about the unique experiences that the programme offers can take this opportunity to obtain an insight from the very top of the Civil Service.
This will also be an opportunity for successful applicants who are currently awaiting assignment to a Government department to ask about what they have to look forward to once they get started and what opportunities they can expect in the short and long term. They may also wish to ask Sir Bob for his thoughts on how to build a career in the Civil Service and find out about his expectations of Fast Streamers.
The Fast Stream Facebook group was set up by current Fast Streamers and provides essential insights on starting a career in the Civil Service. It has nearly 3000 followers. On a daily basis Fast Streamers from different Government departments and from both generalist and specialist Fast Stream schemes go on line to take questions from prospective Fast Streamers wanting to learn more about the scheme and to ask for advice about the application process.
