CareerNet International – Focusing on the Future

CareerNet International – Focusing on the Future

HDA, with over 30 years career transition and talent management experience throughout the UK and internationally, is a founder member of CareerNet International (CNI). CNI is a network comprising leading outplacement and career management consultancies throughout Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australasia.
CNI meets every 4 months at an international partner location to develop its international marketing strategy, and to agree quality and client return on investment (ROI) expectations in respect of planned projects. In June 2009, the CNI meeting and AGM took place in Hague, hosted by Van Ede & Partners (http://www.vanede.nl/ ), CNIís Netherlands partner.

An overriding theme of the meeting was how CNI members are addressing the current economic climate in each of their markets; particularly how they continue to deliver world class quality service, innovative career transition, outplacement and redeployment solutions, and clear return on investment (measured in terms of employer reputation and the ease with which organisations transition), as market needs shift in response to the current global recession.
Key highlights from this meeting / AGM included:

ï the confirmation of a major three-year international career transition / outplacement contract win by CareerNet International, with expected activity across over 30 global locations. This project will be managed from Paris, and will incorporate comprehensive multi-country career coaching support for leavers at all levels, including expatriates; together with the provision of vocational / re-training to leverage career building opportunities for our clients at these organisations. ï the re-election of Bert Lagerweij (Van Ede & Partners) and Uwe Kern (SKP AG) to the CareerNet International Board

ï the appointment of three new Directors to the CareerNet International Board, including Jerry Knock (OasYs, France), Geoff Officer (Donington, Australia) and Clayton Glen (HDA, UK)

Commenting on the June CareerNet International meeting, Tricia Dicks, CEO at HDA and co-founder of CareerNet International says ìI am delighted that our international network continues to go from strength to strength, and I am particularly pleased that CNI is facing the challenges of the current international economic climate with a continued focus on quality, innovation and value creation for our corporate clients, and real career leverage for the managers and staff that we support at all levels around the worldî

Via its CNI partners, HDA is able to seamlessly deliver large-scale global career transition and related projects; with HDA providing the central project management, client reporting and quality assurance relationship, whilst our international partners deliver fit-to-purpose localised career consultancy and related services, applying their specialist knowledge of local markets. Via its membership of CareerNet International, HDA has supported the needs of its career transition / outplacement clients across a diverse range of global locations on five continents thus far during 2009.
