Graduates Yorkshire, which offers a range of recruitment services aiming to create opportunities for graduate talent in the region, has announced the appointment of a Project Manager to lead the new Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme.
Becky Ascough joins Graduates Yorkshire from The Higher Education Academy where she was responsible for managing the activities of the Employability and Employee Learning programme.
The Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme is a initiative funded by regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, supporting paid graduate internships with employers in the region.
Becky said: ìThe Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme is a very exciting development for Yorkshire as it will expose graduate talent to the realities of commercial life and give them a real grounding in business. Companies in the region will benefit from having a graduate in their business for between three and 12 months.î
Becky, who lives in Leeds, was previously Business Development Manager at Knowledge RICH at Yorkshire Universities, where she was responsible for managing and developing the introduction of academic expertise to businesses from within the Universities across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Graduates Yorkshire Chief Executive Martin Edmondson, said: ìBecky brings a real depth of experience to Graduates Yorkshire further expanding the scope of our business, particularly in the development of the Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme.

In addition to providing all the benefits of a large jobsite, Graduates Yorkshire also offers a number of services that are delivered locally by the regionís universities. Graduates Yorkshire has more than 24,000 graduates registered to the website and has managed more than 25000 vacancies in the region.
