More and more students and graduates are using WikiJob to search for jobs

Wikijob, the UK’s premier Graduate Careers website has recorded its highest ever traffic numbers through the month of October.

The latest data, collected by Google Analytics, indicates Wikijob received a record 314,974 unique users last month, with an average of almost 16,000 visits every day and a one day visitor record of 20,239 (on Monday 24th of October).

These traffic figures highlight another successful year of exceptional online performance for Wikijob, with unique visitor numbers up by 90,000+ from this time last year. Through a mixture of on-going, on-campus graduate fair activity, social media marketing and several high profile PR initiatives, the site continues to grow at an absorbing rate.

WikiJob co-founder, Ed Mellett attributes the growth to a strategic decision to broaden WikiJob’s horizons in 2011. “Since the start of the year we’ve been working extremely hard developing two key growth sectors for WikiJob: ‘postgraduate courses’ and ‘internships & placements’. We now offer a resource suitable for A Level students researching future careers, through to graduates applying for MBAs."

"Offering such a wide range of useful information for candidates has made us the go to destination for student and graduate job seekers in the UK.”

With more jobs advertised on Wikijob than ever before and an ever-growing client list, Mellet expects Wikijob traffic numbers to continue growing all the way through to the New Year.

“2011 has been our most successful year to date, and we are already looking forward to an exciting and rewarding 2012”.
