We are really pleased to announce that our LinkedIn G4S Plc group has now gone over the 1,000 member mark, David Lane a District Manager in Oklahoma was our 1001st group member.
This really shows that the social media channels G4S has chosen to engage with to foster relationships both internally and externally have had a really positive impact on the relationships our employees can develop locally and globally. The G4S Plc LinkedIn group is open to existing and previous employees and offers a forum to connect with others in the company and talk about successes, local and international issues and to find out more about what makes G4S tick. We employ such a broad range of people from security officers and safety stewards through to business development managers and change management professionals that it can be hard sometimes to find the right people to connect with. The LinkedIn Group offers a forum for all our employees to connect and engage.
G4S resourcing has been driving the social agenda within the company and we launched the G4S Plc, G4S Jobs and G4S Careers LinkedIn groups this year along with the G4S Facebook property and our Twitter account @g4scareers. They were launched to provide a joined up experience for people looking to find out more about G4S through social media. We have continued the theme by providing groups and forums within the career centre itself with a lot more social functionality to come.
