Following a very successful year, VMA Groupís internal communications team has been strengthened with the appointment of Rebecca Ward.

Rebecca has over five yearsí experience in internal communications, working across a variety of sectors. Starting on the graduate Business Leadership Programme at Barclays, she worked in the Private Clients internal communications team for two years.

She then moved on to work in the change and internal communications team at Hill and Knowlton, working on the HP and Microsoft accounts on a range of intranet, cultural change and employee engagement projects.

With a move back in-house, Rebecca has spent the last two years working for the BBC in their central internal communications consultancy team. During a period of huge change, she worked on pan-BBC communications campaigns, including the launch of a new leadership communications channel and an internal emergency awareness campaign following the July 7 bombings.

Her time at the BBC included a four-month sabbatical during which she worked as a Communications Officer for the UK charity Raleigh International in Borneo, Malaysia. Here she edited an internal magazine, wrote regular newsletters, liaised with the press and supported the London Head Office with their communications strategy.

With her diverse background in financial services, technology, media and the charity sector, Rebecca has built up strong relationships across the industry and has first-hand experience of working within challenging internal communications environments.

David Broome, Associate Director of the internal communications team at VMA Group said, ìItís a real asset to have Rebecca joining us. To have someone who has worked in the industry is invaluable to us and to our candidates and clients.î
