When the party lasts long into the night, like most people, many recruiters are guilty of indulging in 'one too many', knowing they have to work the next morning. So FPS Umbrella (www.fpsumbrella.com ) is lending a hand by sending out a thousand hangover kits to recruiters across the UK and offers everyone these top tips for coping during the party season!
ìThis is the busiest time of year in the recruitment industry and missing work due to 'illness' just isn't an option,î says Jen Monroe Marketing Manager for FPS Umbrella, ìIt's food poisoning; it's not the drink...This is a excuse we've all heard from colleagues, especially over the festive season. That's why, we decided it would be a bit of fun to help out by providing our hangover kit and some sound advice to our recruitment partners and friends during this party season.î
FPS Umbrella's top tips for recruiters this Christmastime:
1. Clear your diary ensuring you don't have a commitment to heavy deadlines or have to cope with complicated briefings the day after the Christmas party.
2. Convince the office you have a 8.30am breakfast meeting giving you extra time to apply the second layer of make-up to those circles under your eyes.
3. Avoid pre-booking meetings for the day after. If a meeting is unavoidable prepare well in advance and try to schedule it for the afternoon to improve your chances on being conscious.
4. Take your work home with you before you go out. Make sure you have your diary, laptop and any notes you might need at your home, just in case.
5. Divert your office phone to your mobile. You might be answering it from home, but you can answer as if you are at your desk! Nobody need know the truth. (Best not answer from inside the loo!).
6. Use your Blackberry so that you can respond to urgent emails quickly, so you can go back to sleep in a hurry.
7. Keep an FPS Umbrella hangover kit at hand or make your own. Remember to include - an energy drink, paracetamol, Rennies, milk thistle, breath freshener and a clean shirt (just in case of lipstick on your collar).
8. Drink water, before, during and after any night out to mitigate the 'morning after' feeling.
9. HAVE FUN! Christmas comes but once a year.
