Office Angels crowns Executary of the Year and Angel of the Year at 12th annual London awards ceremony

Itís awards season at Office Angels, the market leading secretarial recruitment consultancy, who have been scouring the nation in search of the ëExecutaryí and ëAngelí of 2009.

Both awards were set up by Office Angels to find the best in the business. The Executary of the Year looks to uncover the best secretary or executive assistant in the UK, as nominated by employers. The Angel of the Year celebrates the best of employees at Office Angels, nominated by branch managers across the UK and Ireland.

At the annual awards ceremony, hosted in central Londonís Haymarket Hotel on Wednesday 4th November, Suzanne Hughes was crowned Office Angels ëExecutary of the Yearí and Amanda Donley took home the title of ëAngel of the Yearí.

Suzanne Hughes was nominated by her employers, McGinley Support Service Ltd, and shone through the selection process to beat off the tough competition and be awarded the coveted title of Exectuary of the Year 2009.

Commenting on her win, Suzanne said, ìI didnít even know that I had been put forward until I got the call from Office Angels to say I had made it to the final, and now I canít believe that I have won.

I have been working at the same company now for over 11 years and love my job, no two days are ever the same. I feel a real sense of achievement and honoured that my work has been recognised in this way, itís fantastic!î

Amanda Donley fought off competition from a pool of over 10,000 angels across the UK and Ireland to be crowned this yearís Angel of the Year. She was nominated by Charlotte Jackson, Hemel Hempstead Office Angels branch manager.

Amanda, who has been working for Office Angels for two and a half years, said:
îI love my job; I am constantly learning new things about my role and different industries. I am so delighted to be recognised for my contribution to my company and I am really proud to be representing my branch and Office Angels.î

David Clubb, Managing Director of Office Angels, presented Suzanne and Amanda with their awards and a special prize of a luxury spa day. Both winners and the runners-up also received an Office Angels goody bag, bottle of champagne and personalised certificates.

David commented: ìSuzanne and Amanda should be thrilled with winning their awards – getting through to the finals is no mean feat. They both hugely impressed the Office Angels judging panel; Suzanne is a great example of how an effective executary is the linchpin of a company and Amanda is a great role model and representative for Office Angels – a shining example for others to follow. They should both be very proudî.
