Fledglings.net expands network

.

Fledglings.net, the UKís premier student placement and graduate careers recruitment agency has expanded its network of university student placement officers and careers advisors to over 300, covering 281 UK & International institutions.

This expansion has created one of the largest direct recruitment networks for business in the UK. Linking UK based local, national and international businesses with more academic institutions directly than any other student placement company in the UK.

The network set up by fledglings.net has been developed over a number of years and grown in size by 40% over the last year alone. It provides placement officers with a service to assist them in placing students and graduates, as well as streamlining organisations efforts to take on a placement student or graduates providing them with one point of contact, rather than a number through their previous system.

Suzi Byatt HR Manager at Wilkinson Sword comments, ìFledglings.net have saved us many hours of painstaking work of trawling through endless CVís with many different contacts within a range of universities. The network in place has bypassed much of this work and has proved to be so successful that we are looking for students for 2004, as the 2003 vacancies have been filled already.î

Fledglings.net assist placement officers in a number of different levels. Firstly, the Internet portal www.fledglings.net acts as a window for companies to publicise their placement and graduate opportunities with the opportunity to view employer profiles. Deeper than this Fledglings.net provide placement officers the opportunity to monitor the history of students with access to student profiles, the facility to email and SMS students placement information and the opportunities to draw on Fledglings support team in placing, monitoring and evaluating placement students.

Jessica Higton, founder of Fledgling.net comments, ìWe are proud to have developed such a broad network of placement offices and career advisors as it has proved to be a system that works extremely well. We would encourage anybody in the student placement or graduate careers guidance profession to contact us to find out how you could benefit.î
