FirstAssist, the health and wellbeing solutions partner, is announcing the appointment of Mark Howard as Group Rehabilitation Director. This is a newly created role, and illustrates FirstAssistís proactive approach to providing and promoting integrated rehabilitative solutions.
Howard joins FirstAssist from Quantum Consulting Group, where he was a pioneer of rehabilitation and re-employment offerings. His twelve years of experience will be harnessed to increase innovation and value for money in FirstAssistís existing Total Managed Care and Healthcare services.
Research shows that providing access to medical, physiotherapy and counselling networks coupled with expert case managers, accelerates the return to a healthy and productive lifestyle for the majority of people. As such, early intervention return to work, or rehabilitation programmes, should be a fundamental part of business policy to help reduce employee absence costs, estimated at 11.75 billion annually by the CBI.
Howardís experience of working with corporate clients also means he understands the needs of FirstAssistís client base and is well placed to implement optimum absence reduction and rehabilitation programmes.
