Find a Job Anywhere, Anytime with Workopolis Mobile

First job site in Canada to go mobile

Hunting for a new job can sometimes feel like a job in itself – and sometimes itís just not possible to be by a computer to continue your search. The process just got a bit easier with todayís launch of Workopolis Mobile, the new mobile version of Canadaís leading job site.

Job seekers simply need to enter mobile.workopolis.com into the web browser of their mobile device, and they can instantly search all of the jobs available on the Workopolis main site – but with the convenience of doing so on the move. And once you have found the perfect job, you can email it to yourself, or your friends, to apply for the next time youíre at a computer.

ìCanadaís workforce is becoming increasingly mobile and savvy about services they can use when theyíre not plugged in,î said Patrick Sullivan, President of Workopolis. ìWorkopolis Mobile gives job seekers the opportunity to access our job postings when, where and how they want to. Itís an added value for employers as well because their postings will automatically appear on the mobile version, thereby giving them access to hard-to-find candidates.î

According to a recent report from the Canadian Wireless Telecom Association, Canadian wireless phone subscribers numbered 20.1 million, representing a national wireless penetration rate of 62 per cent (March 2008).

Workopolis Mobile is a stripped-down version of the main site to enable easy access via mobile phones and PDAís. There have already been nearly 100,000 visitors to the site from users on iPhones.
