Financial Times & OUTstanding in Business to explore LGBT issues in the workplace in a groundbreaking new editorial partnership

Financial Times has announced it will be publishing a special report in partnership with OUTstanding in Business

Financial Times has announced it will be publishing a special report in partnership with OUTstanding in Business.

Published on 24 October 2013, the FT Executive Appointments report entitled ‘Executive Diversity - A focus on LGBT featuring the Top 50 OUTstanding in Business list’ will explore topics such as what does coming out mean for business people, best practice for companies supporting their Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) executives and a look at the impact discrimination can have on employers.

In addition the report will showcase the first published list for Top 50 LGBT Business Leaders compiled by OUTstanding in Business.

Both parties are incredibly excited to be publishing an industry first.

Suki Sandhu, Founder of OUTstanding in Business, says:  “We want to shift perceptions about the role of LGBT people in business and inspire a new generation of leaders confident enough in their sexuality to break through the glass ceiling. The Financial Times is the perfect home for showcasing our role models in business.  I am delighted that we are working together to effect change in the boardroom.”

Rebecca Clifton, Global Sales Director for Financial Times Career Management, says: “We are really excited to be announcing this groundbreaking partnership with OUTstanding in Business. The special report promises to be an in-depth exploration of LGBT issues in business and will allow the FT to join this discussion in an open and meaningful way.”

In addition to the report the FT and OUTstanding in Business will be hosting a round table and a networking breakfast to share ideas and debate the subject further. More information on these events will be announced in due course.

There are a number of advertising opportunities available to companies wishing to align their employer brands alongside the editorial content covered in the feature. For more information on these opportunities please contact Fiona Sneller via email at fiona.sneller@ft.com or call 0207 873 4909.
