During the month of February, accountants and financiers were more in demand than personnel in any other job sector, according to recruitment web site www.gumtree.com. Over 500 jobs for accountancy positions, in a diverse selection of companies from blue chips to SMEs, were advertised during February.
Companies advertising for accountants on Gumtree.com range from Price Waterhouse Coopers and catering companies like Geronimo Inns to agencies like Accountancy Additions and Hudson Shribman.
Commenting on the statistics, Michael Pennington, founder of www.gumtree.com said:
