It has been 6 months since Charterhouse Group International Plc introduced new joining procedures for all of their services following consultation with HM Revenue and Customs and Ernst & Young. We have now completed our reviewing process for all existing contractors and recruitment companies. Every existing contractor has completed a Contract Status Questionnaire (CSQ) and all the recruitment companies that use us have an IR35 friendly contract in place.

Following completion of this review we can now offer a faster sign up process to contractors.

Our CSQ is no longer part of our sales process.

Contractors can now select their product of choice and start using it straight away. They will then have 6 weeks from the date of application to complete the questionnaire. This provides them with the opportunity to understand how they will be working and enables them to complete the questionnaire accurately.

Once the questionnaire is returned we will be able to establish whether their product choice is the most suitable product for their individual needs.

Why are we using the questionnaire?

To ensure temporary workers are placed in an appropriate limited company structure removing doubt over their IR35 status;

To provide complete peace of mind that IR35 issues have been properly dealt with at a time when HM Revenue and Customs is actively looking at the use of personal service companies by contract and temporary workers.
