Family learning fun for all at Hubs new headquarters

Families are being urged to don their dancing shoes, grab their virtual footie kits and head to the Southern Learning Hubís new offices in Fareham on Saturday 15 October.

To mark the opening of the new offices at 2 Furze Court in Wickham Road, the Hub is holding a Family Learning Day from 10am to 1pm during which an exciting and varied programme of activities will be available for families to learn together.

A modern jive class and course tasters including virtual football frenzy are just two of the events being lined up at the Hub, which delivers learndirect and other vocational e-learning courses to thousands of residents and businesses across the region.

For younger participants, there will be a fire engine and play bus, computer quizzes and workshops, and a balloon race with cinema tickets as prizes, while the Gosport Sea Cadets will be providing the musical entertainment throughout the day.

Denise Candy, the Hubís Chief Executive said: ìNow we are in our new offices, we want to introduce ourselves to everyone locally especially families and show them who we are and what we do. Most of all we want everyone to enjoy learning together and see what can be achieved in the way of education and enjoyment.î

All monies raised at the event will go the local Rainbow centre.
