In March of this year the recruitment industry was handed a fantastic opportunity to secure government funded training with the introduction of its first dedicated Recruitment Apprenticeship; the new dedicated apprenticeship will ensure learners focus on the skills and knowledge right for their role – Existing staff of all ages are currently eligible to enroll on the 12 months training programme (FULLY FUNDED – subject to eligibility criteria). The training includes subjects such as assessing candidates, coaching and supporting candidates, building relationships with clients, and understanding how to effectively market job roles.
This first sector specific apprenticeship is being backed by a unique partnership made up of industry body The Institute of Recruiters (IOR), awarding body Skillsfirst Awards and training provider Expedient Training Consultancy. The three organisations have joined forces to promote the benefits of the new apprenticeship, as well as offering training and certification to learners.
