Europes occupational health provider moves to UK

Team Prevent (B.A.D Gmbh) provides specialist occupational health services for 230,000 companies throughout Europe covering more than three million employees. The company has entered into a strategic alliance with UK based provider On Site Occupational Health Care Limited an associate company of Banner Holdings Limited, to provide occupational health services in this country under the name Team Prevent UK.

Team Prevent has an exceptional track record in the European occupational health care market. As well as providing services to the Federal Ministry of Finances in Berlin and the Magistrate and Fire and Rescue Services of Vienna , the company also provides services for 57,000 Health Clinics and 200 hospitals throughout Europe. Corporate clients include companies like Shell, KPMG, Coca Cola, Glaxo Smith Kline Hewlett Packard and Austrian Rail.

In the UK, Team Prevent has its own dedicated team of qualified Occupational Health Physicians and Nurses who are already providing services to companies in the public and private sectors throughout the country. The alliance will enable the UK operation to call upon additional expertise and resources from the 1500 strong European team of specialists in occupational health and safety, hygiene management, sickness absence management and research and development.

With bases already in Rugby, Barlborough, Hemel Hempstead and Nottingham. Team Prevent plans in the longer term, to also open a national network of purpose built occupational health centres throughout the country similar to the 170 centres it currently operates in Europe. The strategically located centres will offer a full range of occupational health services including pre employment health screening, health surveillance, executive medicals, industry specific medicals, counselling, physiotherapy and fitness centres. In the meantime, Team Prevent will be providing on-site occupational health services on the clientís own premises and from purpose built mobile units fully equipped with the most advanced health-screening technology.

Team Prevent UK already provides occupational health services and industry specific medicals for a number of UK companies in the construction, telecommunications and rail industries. The company has also recently been awarded the occupational health care contract for Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Hospital Trust.
