Eteach.com announced their best first quarter results ever, showing a 20% increase in revenues on the previous year and a net profit 63% ahead of forecast.

Traffic through the site is also up 34% on the same period last year with a massive 530,000 visitors to the teaching jobsite and a huge 47.9% increase in job searches in October alone.

CEO, Paul Howells, stated:

ìThis is great news and a credit to my team who have all worked extremely hard. October was a fantastic month in performance terms but we also launched a new website, introduced leading edge new products and moved the entire business to new offices, it has been an action packed month for us all.

The start of the academic year is always a challenge in this sector due to the long summer holidays, this year we have been better focussed and the results are starting to show. Our new technology and marketing initiatives will move us ahead of our competitors yet again so these early indications are very encouraging.

Our market is becoming more cost conscious and as the ìbest valueî provider in the space we are ideally placed to take advantage of the current climate. I am confident that we now have the team to do even more and that there is scope to double the size of this business very quickly.î

Eteach.com operates jobsites www.eteach.com and www.feJobs.com for the education sector and has slashed the cost of advertising staff vacancies for State and Independent Schools, Local Authorities and Colleges. Founded by teacher Paul Howells in 2000 they are based in Camberley in Surrey and are a small but successful dot com business with an enviable reputation for providing technology led recruitment solutions to their customers.
Even though Howells doesnít believe that they are immune from the credit crunch they are growing fast at a time when their competitors classified advertising and newspaper circulation figures are falling.
