eQuest, the global leader in job posting and Internet recruitment management services today provided a brief glimpse of its 2008 Job Board Performance Report, to be released at the end of this month. The report is based upon the aggregate performance data tracked across eQuest's 20,000 posting customers.
One of the important initial findings of the analysis was that aggregated job boards, (sites that collect jobs from other career sites and corporate sites and place them in a single database for candidates to search) ranked 3rd overall in direct candidate responses during 2008, recording over 7 Million unique responses to job advertisements for the 12 month period.
The report also found that these job boards, accessed through eQuest's job board delivery network, were preferred by eQuest users by a factor of three-to-one over the most popular paid boards. Free job boards, including some aggregators, that rank the highest are placed into eQuest's FreeBUG network for a nominal fee for unlimited deliveries.
eQuest tracks and ranks both fee-based and free job boards from over 200 million postings that it delivered in 2008.
Aggregated job boards that stood out in the United States were SimplyHired and GoogleBase. Indeed.com (not in eQuest's FreeBUG network but available through its other networks) also scored high. Non U.S.-domestic sites that performed well included Recruit.net (Asia), and Kijiji (Canada).
