Emirates airline, Dubai's award-winning international carrier, is holding a series of open day recruitment sessions at various cities across the globe, to support the airline's rapid growth.
Four open days in the U.S. will be held in Miami on June 19th at the Crowne Plaza Miami International Airport; Houston on June 26th at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston; Seattle on July 10th at the Hotel Deca Seattle; and San Francisco on July 17th at the San Mateo Marriot.
Emirates plans to employ an additional 3,000 cabin crew through the global recruitment sessions, as well as more than 700 pilots worldwide over the next 18 months. Based in Dubai, Emirates cabin crew enjoy high-quality living arrangements, full medical care and state-of-the-art facilities in training and at work.
Emirates' multi-cultural cabin crew are drawn from more than 120 nationalities, speak more than 80 languages and serve the carrier's fast-expanding network of over 100 destinations across the globe. All recruitment is handled exclusively by the Emirates Group's Recruitment Department. The cabin crew recruitment team travels regularly to more than 60 countries to select candidates for employment.
The recruitment drive will support Emirates' continued rise to become one of the pre-eminent forces within the aviation industry. Recently, Emirates announced a Group net profit of US $1.1 billion - a record increase of 248 percent over the previous financial year. Last week, the airline announced an order of 32 additional A380 aircraft, taking the total firm order to 90 super-jumbos. The highly praised double-decker will make its return to the airline's JFK route on October 31, 2010.
Emirates has announced five new destinations for 2010, including the recently launched Tokyo (March 28th) and Amsterdam (May 1st) routes. These will be followed by Prague (July 1st), Madrid (August 1st) and Dakar (September 1st).
