EDF Energy Awards New Managed Service Contract to Capita

EDF Energy has awarded a managed service contract to Capita Resourcing for the supply and management of contract and interim workers within EDF Energyís Business Improvement and Technology (BI&T) function. The contract will deliver significant process and cost efficiencies to EDF Energy, streamlining supplier and worker engagements.

Clive Exton, Head of Partner Management at BI&T for EDF Energy commented: ìBI&T undertook an evaluation of sourcing arrangements and the results clearly indicated that using a Managed Service provider to supply contract workers was the most efficient and effective way forward. Hiring stakeholders, and existing contract and interim workers, are likely to benefit from the move to a single service provider. Increased efficiencies will include the implementation of a dedicated and proactive account management and recruitment team, the MrTedTalentLinkTM technology platform and significant improvements in the supplier engagement and management process. Existing contract and interim workers will transfer to Capita as part of a phased transition process.
