Commenting on the award, Ian Scott, director UK and Ireland for the Government of Dubai, Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), said, “This award really means a lot to us. We invest in our staff and recognise their importance in promoting Dubai as a leading destination for leisure and business tourism as well as inward investment from the UK and Ireland. Our people are our most important asset and we recognise the importance of motivating them. We have a strong team and value their hard work and contribution to making Dubai a successful destination. This award is a real tribute to the work of all the DTCM staff.”

The recent commendation further highlights the DTCM’s dedication to investing in its people. Investor in People’s aim is to help employers across the UK to develop their businesses by making the most of their most valuable asset – their people. The DTCM operates with rewards and benefits to motivate staff including a wellbeing programme, allowing staff members to have time out of the office for wellbeing initiatives, such as Pilates classes, yoga, swimming and football. They were praised for having training, development, communication and empowering employees at the centre of their ethos.
