Diversity compliant job board diversityjobs.co.uk has announced its sponsorship of the National Centre for Diversity Annual Conference, which takes place in Manchester on 17th May 2011. The aim of the conference is to help bring broader understanding of diversity and, not only how to comply, but to benefit from the employment of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Morgan Lobb, Director of DiversityJobs.co.uk, commented “All of us as individuals are unique, with characteristics that are exclusive to each of us. It is time that diversity ceases to be seen as a peripheral issue about ‘people from minorities’, it is a mainstream issue that needs to be understood and managed in that context.”

Morgan continued, “DiversityJobs.co.uk is proud to be sponsoring the National Centre for Diversity’s 2011 conference. The conference will cover a number of useful areas including; a review of good practice within the sector; how to recruit and retain a diverse workforce; how the Equalities act impacts organisations; as well as offering a chance to get involved in the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

This year the conference will take place at the City of Manchester Stadium. Tickets are available for only £299, and discounts are available for quantity purchases.

Morgan concluded, “Diversity is something that everyone needs to understand and embrace, employees from diverse backgrounds can be enormously valuable for a business and can help both growth and customer loyalty. We are delighted to be alongside the National Centre for Diversity in providing guidance and solutions in these areas.”
