Dilectus wins Chamber Award

Dilectus, the construction industry recruitment specialist, has been named íBest Established Businessí in the annual Chamber of Commerce Awards.

Owner and managing director, Matthew Smith, will be collecting the award along with his team at the ceremony on Friday 13th October. He has also been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year, the winner of which will be revealed on the night.

Itís a great boost for the company, explains Matthew. We have only been operating for two years, so to be recognised as an established business in the area, competing against other companies that have been operating for many years, is a real honour.

Dilectus was set up by Matthew in 2004 as a one-man operation, working out of a spare room in his parentsí house. Two years later, the company now has six employees and has already been named íone to watchí in Growing Business magazineís í50 companies to watchí annual report.

The company specialises in recruitment for the quantity surveying sector, and now covers four distinct areas of construction: main contracting, house building, private practice and civil engineering.
