In an increasingly competitive graduate recruitment market, Deloitte is launching a new scheme for first year university students this week. The scheme is designed to help secure top talent at a time when Deloitte, like many organisations, have increased the numbers of graduates they are taking on.
The two-day residential programme ëProfessional Services Uncoveredí is open to all first year university students. Through skill sessions and team building activities, the programme will provide students with an insight into the professional services industry and the career opportunities available.
Deloitteís graduate recruitment partner, Sarah Shillingford said: ìWe have doubled our graduate recruitment intake in the last two years. For every student who meets our academic criteria, there are probably 20 other employers vying for their attention. We hope that by providing students with core business skills and knowledge early in their university education, we will broaden the diversity of people who will consider in professional services.
ìFor undergraduates, this programme provides a great opportunity to learn more about business and gain a real insight into the industry in advance of applying for vacation placements and graduate positions.î
