Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has launched an innovative recruitment campaign to attract up to 50 graduates a year directly from Chinese universities.
John Connolly, Deloitteís Chief Executive and Senior Partner, commented: ìChina presents a massive opportunity and a challenge for us in the UK. This recruitment programme will help forge stronger links with China and clients will benefit from a cadre of qualified advisors that have direct experience of both the UK and China.î
The graduates will be supported in gaining internationally recognised qualifications and they will have the chance to return to China to work on client assignments to deploy their new-found skills in that market. Following successful completion of their studies they will be offered the opportunity to work at Deloitteís Chinese firm.
Sharon Fraser, Deloitteís Executive partner with responsibility for talent said: ìThe launch of this ground-breaking campaign is a significant milestone in the firmís drive to bring to life a truly global resourcing strategy ñ to recruit the very best talent from right across the globe.
ìWe are already one of the UKís largest graduate recruiters, with 1,400 graduates joining the firm this year. Now, we want to offer Chinaís top talent the chance to benefit from the outstanding development opportunities we offer.
ìThis campaign will help Deloitte develop a pool of people who are not only trained to the highest possible standards, but who are also able to operate effectively in China. It will benefit our clients, while improving our own knowledge of the Chinese market,î she said.
