Aspiring creative professionals are being encouraged to study a short course with the University of Derby Corporate (UDC), to gain the skills they need to stand out in a competitive creative industry.

The ‘Developing a Career in the Creative Arts’ course, a series of three one-day workshops, will take place at UDC’s state of the art Enterprise Centre in Derby city centre later this year.

Delegates will be taught by supportive and experienced tutors through interactive workshops and have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the creative industry and what it takes to succeed.

The course will show professionals how to get their work recognised in the creative world and how to package and sell their ideas for maximum exposure.

Andrew Hartley, Managing Director at UDC, said: “This course provides a cost-effective solution for creative individuals looking to present their portfolio of work in a much more professional way to businesses and the media.

“We find that candidates who participate in our training courses gain greater confidence in their ideas and are able to market their creative output much more effectively.”
