Court Prevents Previous Employee from Operating

Competitive Business in the Sacramento Area

Aerotek, Inc, an operating company of Allegis Group, Inc., has obtained an injunction against a former employee, preventing the unfair operation of a competitive business in the Sacramento market.

While employed with Aerotek, a former employee created a competitive business using Aerotekís proprietary information. ìOur employees are exposed to proprietary information on a daily basis,î said Thomas M. Thornton, president and CEO of Aerotek. ìFortunately, as a rule, our employees are trustworthy and understand the role of confidentiality in Aerotekís success.î

The Superior Court of the State of California, County of Sacramento, found that the former employee took Aerotekís confidential and trade secret information, and used it to unfairly compete against Aerotek. Based on these actions, the Court found that the former employee violated both his contractual obligations to Aerotek, as well as California statutes.

The injunction issued by the Court prevents the former Aerotek employee from unfairly operating in competition with Aerotek in the Sacramento market.
