The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has named AXA PPP healthcare, a global leader in insurance and health & well-being, as its exclusive employee health and well-being online knowledge partner.

In this role, AXAPPPhealthcare’s industry experts will provide knowledgeable online content for CIPD HR professionals and front-line managers at www.cipd.co.uk/axa-wellbeing. Topics to be covered include how to build a culture of organisational well-being, the importance of psychological health in the workplace, rehabilitation and occupational health and line manager capability. The website’s content areas reflect evidence showing that efforts by employers to reduce absence and support employee well-being will be undermined unless organisations also improve the effectiveness of how their people are managed on a day-to-day basis and how work is organised. The content will supplement the CIPD’s existing content, including its survey reports, guidance and fact sheets to help employers manage sickness absence and mental health in the workplace.

Chris Jessop, Managing Director, Health Services, AXA PPP healthcare explains: “Becoming the online knowledge partner of the CIPD is testament to the commitment we have made to putting employee health and well-being at the top of theUK business agenda. Healthy employees mean healthy, thriving businesses. More than ever, businesses need clear advice on health and well-being that is cost effective and that works for their individual needs. Our role will be to educate members about the choices available to them and to explain how they can benefit from an effective well-being strategy.”

Ben Willmott, head of public policy at the CIPD, comments: “Our partnership withAXAPPPhealthcare will ensure that CIPD members have access to the latest resources on employee health and well-being issues, withAXA’s expertise and content complementing the CIPD’s existing advice, guidance and research on this increasingly business-critical issue. The website will provide a one stop shop for HR professionals looking to enhance employee engagement and well-being, manage and reduce absence and support effective rehabilitation and return to work.”
