CIPD HR Software Show - 22-23 June - Olympia - London

Technology has a growing and changing role in supporting HR professionals in their work

Technology has a growing and changing role in supporting HR professionals in their work. From managing absence, effective recruitment and developing first class payroll systems, HR software is of increasing importance in the role of any HR professional, but it can be overlooked due to uncertainty and confusion. The CIPD Annual HR Software Show addresses these issues and current trends in people management and technology. The conference will launch the CIPD’s Annual People and Technology Survey 2005, which looks at:

- The use of technology in the workplace
- Performance of HR Information Systems
- The design, development and implementation of Information Systems

- The use of PC portals for HR
Recent findings from the 2004 CIPD Employee Absence survey show that overall absence levels and the associated costs have increased for UK employers. Speakers from the Transport for London and Standard Life Healthcare will discuss how their organisations have significantly improved absence through preventative approaches and innovative systems. Other speakers at the conference include:

- Jackie Lawlor, Head of Workplace Learning, Royal Mail, on the impact of technology on organisational culture.

- George Castlehow, Business Process Owner, Rolls-Royce plc on delivering an excellent payroll system.
The conference includes a free exhibition featuring the leading suppliers and industry specialists and sessions from the Inland Revenue providing advice and practical help on implementing new PAYE on-line filing legislation. For a full list of speakers and seminars.
