ChinaHR/Monster dot com - Bugs in the System

Last week I opined that people sitting in comfy chairs are not necessarily your best guide to anything, specifically the hiring market in China.

I got a response to this post but it was not the one I expected. The target of the original stock pick report was Monster dot com, who are invested in a website called ChinaHR.com.

Since the investment was made HR professionals have yet to see any change in the quality of the offerings from CHinaHR. Recently there has been some changes but not everyone is happy. It seems that the site software has been revised and the search function has a few omissions. Based on the emails I received the complaints are:

* The industry tab is missing. People looking for skills in a particular industry cannot reduce the size of the search database as they used to.
* There is no opportunity to use language as an option to reduce the database either.
* English language users no longer have the chance to use the system because there is no English available for categories, industries, job titles etc.

There may be other issues and if you know of these please tell me and I will post them. The site also has a bug that allows users to download candidates for free but I doubt that anyone is complaining about this.

With the Chinese recruitment advertising market estimated at 1.42 billion Yuan in 2006 by Research and Markets this is not a good time to drop the ball. Especially when you are coming from behind.
